Frequently Asked Questions

Is VidGrab completely free?
Yes. VidGrab is 100% free with no hidden costs, no premium plans, and no limits on downloads. We maintain the service through minimal, non-intrusive advertising.
Do I need to create an account?
No. VidGrab requires no registration, no email, and no personal information. Just visit, paste your link, and download.
What video quality options are available?
We support all qualities that the original upload provided — from 360p to 4K Ultra HD (2160p), including 720p, 1080p Full HD, and 1440p QHD. Available options vary per video.
Can I download videos as MP3?
Yes. Our YouTube to MP3 converter extracts audio directly at up to 320kbps. You can choose from 128, 192, 256, or 320kbps bitrates. This is native MP3 extraction, not a low-quality re-encode.
Which platforms does VidGrab support?
VidGrab supports YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Twitter/X, Facebook, Vimeo, SoundCloud, and Reddit. We're continuously adding support for more platforms.
Is downloading YouTube videos legal?
Downloading videos for personal, offline use is generally permitted under fair use provisions in most jurisdictions. However, redistributing copyrighted content without permission is not allowed. Always respect content creators' rights.
How long are my downloaded files stored?
Files are automatically deleted from our servers after 10 minutes for your privacy and security. We do not keep copies of your downloads.
Do you track or collect my data?
We do not track individual users, do not require accounts, and do not store download history. VidGrab is GDPR-compliant and designed with privacy in mind.
Can I download age-restricted YouTube videos?
Our tool attempts to access age-restricted content. Most mildly restricted videos work, but some heavily restricted videos may not be accessible due to platform limitations.
Why is my download taking a long time?
Processing time depends on video length, resolution, and server load. Long 4K videos take longer than short 360p ones. Most videos are ready within 30-60 seconds. If it takes more than a few minutes, try refreshing.
